Faulkner Automotive in Harrisburg and Mechanicsburg is looking to recruit an Assistant Service Manager with exceptional customer service skills and has the ability to assists the Service Manager in all aspects of the service department. The Assistant Service Manager will work with the Service Manager, assist the Service Advisors and customers.


Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:  

  • Assist the department manager with forecasting goals and objectives for the department, monitor their progress and implement changes as needed

  • Assist in monitoring the performance of all service technicians and service advisors

  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business

  • Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service department operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, etc.

  • Attend managers’ meetings as needed


Job Requirements

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and: 

  • 2-3 years of proven management experience managing at least 3+ employees

  • Experience in managing and developing employees

  • Ability to forecast and achieve sales/profit goals

  • Excellent computer skills and very detail oriented

  • Ability to work well with customers, co-workers, and manufacturers


Other job considerations:  Selected candidate must be able to perform all job functions that require lifting and or carrying single items weighing at least 50 lbs. as well as functions/activities such as pulling, pushing, bending, standing, lifting, and reaching.   Selected candidate must be available to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
