Job Description

The Director, Information Technology is responsible for cyber-security along with the overall planning, organization and execution of all IT functions throughout the company to include support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.

We're serious about protecting our infrastructure, operations, and most importantly, our customers' data. As Director of Information Technology, you will have a few primary areas of focus: Cyber-security, IT Strategy and Project Management and IT Infrastructure and Networking.


Job Responsibilities

Cyber-Security – Protect the organizational and customer data from corruption from every angle. Mitigate risks and safeguard the integrity of company systems. Identify compliance blind spots, conduct third party due diligence, handle investigations and align the compliance program with leading practices. Be the knowledge leader in cyber security issues and threat developments.

Core Competencies – Strong ability to strategically and tactically evaluate and implement safe and secure IT programs and initiatives; ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical managers and employees, work with a variety of organizational leadership to build consensus around strategy and tactics; have a demonstrated background in Information Technology and Network Administration.  Ability to bring immediate credibility to the IT function through his/her professional qualifications and leadership skills. Demonstrated aptitude for learning and applying new technologies.  Project the highest levels of integrity. Superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills as well as proven organizational skills are required.  Occasionally make presentations to company’s Executive Committee and/or Advisory Board.

Procurement - Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.  Makes purchasing decisions based on bid pricing provided; monitoring to ensure that accurate records are maintained.

Compliance - Maintain knowledge of industry trends and insure compliance with safeguards and security measures. Communicate changes in IT policies and procedures. Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective IT utilization across the company

Computer Systems & Peripherals – Oversees the operations of the family of dealerships’ computer system and related peripherals.  Establishes/creates and maintains the dealership network environment, directories, and security.  Installs, configures, maintains, upgrades and troubleshoots a wide range of software, both first party and third party. Evaluates business needs, objectives and goals, researching products available and designating procedures to best meet those needs. Develops an annual budget, providing justification when needed.  Reviews and compares actual results to planned budgetary performance, preparing reports reflecting those results. Maintains backup of files, security and rights. Develops and maintains a Disaster Recovery Plan for network. Reviews on a continual basis the department procedures, staffing and equipment for maximum efficiency while controlling costs.

Requirements

*Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field.

*10+ years professional IT experience overall with a minimum of 5 years in network/cyber security, incident response or forensics.

*Minimum of 5 years’ management experience highly preferred.

*Experience in implementing effective and innovative software development methodologies

*Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects

Travel


This position regularly requires up to 60% local travel. Company car will be provided.


Salary

$120,000+ depending on experience
